Proposal Forms
There are three WEEF Proposal Templates:
Faculty: for anyone who requests funds for a department.
Student Teams: for anyone who requests funds for a student team.
General: for anyone who if requesting funds that doesn’t fall in the above two categories.
These forms have been developed to include information that aids the funding council decide funding allocations. They also include information regarding frequently asked questions to try and expedite the funding council meetings. If you are unsure as to which form to submit please contact the WEEF Director.
When submitting a proposal please keep the following points in mind:
- A concise proposal is more effective and also more likely to be read in its entirety by the Funding Council.
- It is greatly appreciated if you provide options for various levels of partial funding. This does not lessen your chances of obtaining full funding.
- Padded proposals such as requesting an unrealistic or unnecessary amount are not well received by the funding council.
- Please ensure that all proposals remain within the maximum length of 2 pages.
- Please keep all graphics compressed (preferably jpg).
Here is how you can submit a proposal:
- Consult the Funding Guidelines for information regarding what should and should not be requested from WEEF.
- Use the template above that applies to you and fill in all the fields.
- Send an electronic copy of the proposal directly to the WEEF Director as the formatting and length are correct. Please submit as a word file.
- As a backup submit a hard copy of the proposal to the WEEF Director mailbox in the Engineering Society Office (CPH 1327) by the submission deadline*. If the electronic submission is not received and there is no hard copy submitted by the deadline*, your proposal will not be accepted.
- After the deadline* you will be contacted and assigned a presentation date and time. If there are times when you are not available, please notify the WEEF director beforehand. The presentation dates can be found on the Important Dates page.
- Give a 3 minute presentation / Q&A session for the Funding Council at the
presentations meeting.
